H.Stars High Efficiency Water Source Heat Pump for Greenhouse Project

Project Reference

Greenhouse flower planting in Hubei. The total area of the greenhouse is 175,000㎡. According to the varying temperature and humidity requirements of different flower types, a heat pump unit is needed.

Requirements

1. The indoor temperature of the greenhouse is 30°C + 2°C in summer and 20°C ± 2°C in winter.

2. The relative humidity inside the greenhouse is 70% ~ 75% during both summer and winter.

Solution

Based on the customer's requirements for the greenhouse and equipment, considering the operation cost, investment safety, energy saving, and environmental protection, the equipment was selected. The local groundwater source is relatively abundant, making it suitable for the use of water source heat pump units. We provided 12 water source heat pump units from H.Stars, along with vertical AHU jet units.

Advantages
1. Water source heat pump units are widely used;

Water source heat pump units can be used for cooling, heating, and producing a large amount of free hot water. The multi-functional system can replace the original boiler and air conditioning system with two sets of equipment or systems.
This is especially advantageous for buildings with both cooling and heating requirements. Water source heat pumps offer clear advantages: not only are they energy-efficient, but they also reduce the initial investment.

2. Water source heat pump units

No need for a boiler system for heating and no cooling tower required in the cooling system. There is no pollution discharge during operation.

3. Water source heat pump units are highly efficient and energy-saving;

The units have a high COP. 1KW of energy is available for heating and cooling an area of 6-10m². With a water source heat pump consuming 1KW, the user can obtain heating power of 4.3 ~ 5.0kw.h or cooling power of 5.4 ~ 6.2kw.h. It saves 30% to 80% more energy than conventional central air conditioning units.

4. Water source heat pump units are safe and reliable;

The consistent water temperature makes the operation of water source heat pump units more reliable and stable, ensuring the system’s efficiency and economy.

5. Water source heat pump units are compact and space-saving;

The machine room area for a building of 10,000㎡ is 30 ~ 40㎡.

6. Water source heat pump units are easy to control;

All systems are precisely controlled by computers. The main unit and the circulating pump, submersible pump, and other auxiliary equipment are connected to the internet, allowing users to independently charge, adjust water temperature, room temperature, set start and stop times, and remotely monitor.

7. Water source heat pump units save installation space

Surface water is used as both the cold and hot source and is either released or absorbed. This design does not consume water resources and does not cause pollution. It eliminates the need for boiler rooms, coal yards, oil storage rooms, cooling towers, and other facilities.

The equipment room area is smaller than that of conventional air conditioning systems.
